I was looking at it from the other side (or, at least, I will be soon 
enough!), i.e., undergraduate/graduate instruction.  RPGs are still just 
games, they are also mathematical models of a sort...and it seems to me 
that many similar skills come into play in designing both.  (Not _all_ 
of the same skills, mind you, but the tasks are connected.)  It would be 
interesting if there were some way to work game design into a class, as 
a means of teaching students about the construction of socio-physical 
models.  Perhaps a one-off seminar: "game design and social modeling", 
or some such.  :-)

I doubt they'd let me teach such a thing, but who knows....perhaps if I 
came up with a suitably clever syllabus....
